I've been trying to test version B42.14 for a while now, and after updating and launching the game from my desktop, it closes within seconds. I've deleted my mods, the logs folder, and even reinstalled the game, but it won't let me play it on that version. Does anyone know why this is happening?

Can you try using the "Alternate launch" option when launching the game through Steam? If the game fails to start again, can you share your console.txt file, found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?

I just tried that startup option but it's still not working, here's the console text.

This looks like you have a game install issue. can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
