Server won't start, attempting to update to build 42

I get this message in my debuglog for my server.txt
[18-02-26 11:58:24.090] LOG : General , 1771433904090> 3,498,178> The server savefile appears to be from a newer version of the game and cannot be loaded..

I thought I had updated to build 42 but it seems something has potentially moved me back in my testing deleting the world save and starting works but it did in fact move me back to build 41, I am having trouble getting to build 42 I have everything set to unstable my project zomboids and the dedicated zomboid server is set to unstable what am I missing?

@rapid isle if you’re running a dedicated server you must update your server through steamcmd for it to push appropriate save file, also from 41 to 42 won’t work you will
Need a new world

You can copy certain files and move over but not all

perfectly fine starting a new world, I did update from steamcmd is there a certain steamcmd command for the beta?

It did update, I deleted the save and the server booted hopping on pz now to see if it's build 41 or 42

So i have a self hostet dedicated server using the steamcmd

but it seems like i cant update it to the new version 42.14.1. I dont know what to do right now 😅

Don’t do quit in same line as validate, but if you properly do it through steamcmd you should see a quick update

If it doesn’t work first time, make sure server is closed and PZ is closed, then reopen steam cmd login and try

Make sure the path on the force_dir is correct if it isn’t it won’t update proper files
