Everytime I try to loot anything on a clean, vanilla install on a dedicated server (both local client and server are clean installs) no mods either, I cannot transfer items to or from my inventory. I was able to create a sheet bag but that's it. I couldn't pick anything up or drop anything. Here is the relevant log file section. This repeats multiple times in the log.

There seem to be some unusual config issues, can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
This is for the client, but I would also suggest doing the same for the server. Delete its whole install folder and install it again from SteamCMD
This way no leftover files from old updates will cause issues

I’ll try that. The server is hosted on indifferent broccoli so I’ll have to see if I can do an uninstall there somehow
