Error when joining

Some players of my server got this error message: file doesn`t exist on the client medua/scripts/xui/defaultskin/sx_isbutcherhookcraftpanel.txt

Have them delete the folder, then verify the game files. It would mean there is an update problem on their client side

Can also be a problem with the server update, in which case you need to wipe your server files and reinstall it, so you have all the latest files.

where do they have to delete the files? @humble kayak for me and others it seems to work so its client sided

In the game install folder, following the path in the error

Game is installed in steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid

So following the error, the full path is steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\media\scripts\xui\defaultskin

Delete that folder, or preferably the whole Scripts folder just in case

that will fix it, but it's not a fix, it's a workaround that could cause more problems as the client could be up to no good

Seems like it failed on all of them then, suggest reinstalling it

And reinstall SteamCMD itself as well, outdated SteamCMD can cause issues

We get the exact same error as before, but we tried getting the file from the server files and put it into our game files for testing and the server finds just other files that seem to be not there xDDDDD

i'd get a ticket open with your provider to ensure steamcmd is up to date, not sure why that wouldn't resolve it as it has for all 3 of the servers we have access too

We are hosting at indifferent broccoli.. Me and my friends will try a bit of stuff and when everything fails we will backup the save files to give the serverfiles a new go

we deleted the server files now and turns out, the update forgot to delete files that are maybe no longer needed with the new update, now everything workds fine

Nom just the Server Files, the lets say save game saved somewhere else. You just have to delete the Serverfiles folder

In the file manager/ there are 2 folders. Server data and server files. dont delete the server data, just delete server files

And then you just restart the server. It should update the files on its own... Be sure all files are deleted from the server files folder
