That's it, I know it's because of memory but I don't know how to solve it. I haven't even managed to open a game save file, it just crashes everything

Can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?

im actually so fucking annoyed, ive been trying to fix this for the past 8 hours or so. still havent been able to play. now the problem isnt memory i think but some mod or an issue with corrupted mod config files

Since this channel is for Vanilla technical issues, issues caused by mods go to #mod_support

i have also verified game files 3 times, uninstalled and reinstalled the game in all the different build 42 available versions, all showing the same results

#

Throws out this error:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3519087048\mods\NowYouCanLootIt\42\icon.png

#

So again it seems to try loading mods?

#

Can you unsubscribe from that mod, then retry

thin rover
#

ok give me 1 min to do it

#

ok im opening the game

#

ok so the game opened significantly faster lemme see if it stays open

And do you have any custom Java mods installed?

thin rover
#

should it be like this in launch options?

floral burrow
#

I would suggest rolling them back

thin rover
#

but why?

floral burrow
#

And what about the Java mods? I can see in your logs you are loading something

thin rover

how?

#

i tried runing the installer again to see if an option appeared to uninstall but nothing appears

Its best you reinstall the whole game at that point

#

First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.

ok ill try

#

ok im in the process of deleting everything

@floral burrow I've now reinstalled the game, the crashing seems to be gone, however I still get the mods isn't a valid workshop item id error

#

Yeah no the crashing is back apparently

floral burrow

Is it the same error? Can you share the logs again?
