#My game keeping crashing in 42.13.1

Can you share your logs.zip file found in %UserProfile%\Zomboid?
im actually so fucking annoyed, ive been trying to fix this for the past 8 hours or so. still havent been able to play. now the problem isnt memory i think but some mod or an issue with corrupted mod config files
here you go
Are you able to reproduce the issue without mods first?
Since this channel is for Vanilla technical issues, issues caused by mods go to #mod_support
C'mon
yes my game also crashes without any mods apparently
Can you share the logs from that modless attempt in that case?
Yes give me 5 min
its here
no mods active. only downloaded, also, my game either opens and immidately crashes or it doesnt even open and dies on start up
i have also verified game files 3 times, uninstalled and reinstalled the game in all the different build 42 available versions, all showing the same results
Throws out this error:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\108600\3519087048\mods\NowYouCanLootIt\42\icon.png
So again it seems to try loading mods?
Can you unsubscribe from that mod, then retry
ok give me 1 min to do it
ok im opening the game
ok so the game opened significantly faster lemme see if it stays open
it crashed when i tried to open a new singleplayer save.
Hm, the other issue is that your RAM seems very misconfigured
Did you change any of the default settings?
What is your total RAM?
i changed the projectzomboid64.bat and the projectzomboid64.json
And do you have any custom Java mods installed?
should it be like this in launch options?
Preferably do not use any custom RAM changes
I would suggest rolling them back
but why?
And what about the Java mods? I can see in your logs you are loading something
Because you may be crashing due to assigning too much RAM
Use the default
Also remove that
how?
i tried runing the installer again to see if an option appeared to uninstall but nothing appears
.
Its best you reinstall the whole game at that point
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps.
@floral burrow I've now reinstalled the game, the crashing seems to be gone, however I still get the mods isn't a valid workshop item id error
Yeah no the crashing is back apparently
Back after what? Did you enable mods?
Is it the same error? Can you share the logs again?
Ok so the game opened and didn't crash in vanilla
