#Lua Checksum for Linux/Mac players.

Usually if there's a problem with players I can just test it but I can't so came here for some help.

If players are having issues joining my server with checksum enabled because they're on Mac / Linux. How do they setup it up correctly on their side for the server to recognize the folders/files as being correct so that the server lets them in?

Many thanks in advance.

Can you elaborate? There should be no checksum issues in the vanilla game

Hey Beard, yeah so just with a few players who play on linux or mac will get File doesn't exist on client for the mod that loads first on the server in the newest B42 unstable build. I have no clue if I'm doing something wrong or they are. It's only 3 players who have this issue, one on mac and two on linux.

Sorry I should have been more specific about how I'm not running a vanilla server and I know you've warned against running with high populations and with mods, but the server runs great at 100 players with my mods just don't want these few players left out.

@thorny lichen In the servername.ini file, set DoLuaChecksum=false. That should solve your issue.

There really isn't any good workaround other than not using mods, you can try waiting for a fix

The mod creator would have to fix it for Linux / Mac, since they handle case sensitivity differently, so unless a mod is made with that it might, those platforms will have issues with those mods

Likely change the casing on the files
