#Black screen while hosting a server, after carachter creation

I’m attempting to host a server (modded, though the same thing happens in vanilla). I get through character creation, traits and appearance but once I continue, I’m having a completely black screen. There’s no text (no “This is how you died”), just a blank screen. I can still hear the music and stays like this until i just alt f4 the game

I can join my friend’s server when they’re hosting, no issues

I can play singleplayer, with and without mods

I’ve already tried everything on youtube, reddit...

fully uninstalling the game, deleting all Project Zomboid files from my system, and reinstalling , both with and without mods, no fix at all.....

ive seen some people here with the same issue, and the support just says there is no fix, like damn ANYONE can find a solution????

this is my favorite game and i love to play with my friends, but this is genuinely making me tired of the game, the amount of bugs, optimization and things ive experiencied...

pls just tell me i will be able to host a server man...

Some issues are bugs and cannot be fixed by users, thats how game developement works, I cannot confirm whether you have the issue that the others are having, but if you read all the posts, you would know that the workaround is to simply host a dedicated server on your PC instead

Or you can share the logs and I can check if you have the bug you mentioned

Hm, these logs still show mods enabled, so just to rule them out, I would suggest creating a new server settings file and running that one without any modifications

Yes, they should not be present in the Steam Workshop and Mods sections on the server
