#42.13.2 Multiplayer hosting with just a friend, writing in diary and it disappears!

We like to be immersive and write diaries, and maybe that's funny. But... It keeps disappearing. I'll write in it, even lock it, save it, then read it again right after and the writing is there. Then say we hop into our car, go somewhere, then I open it again to write in it some more... And the writing inside is gone. Is this just a normal problem with this build with multiplayer and we should just cut it with the diary keeping or is there a way to avoid this happening?

Are you perhaps writing into it while it is in a container?

#

I suggest having it in your main inventory and only interacting with it while its there

I have only been writing into it when its in my inventory, I don't think I've done it when it's in a container at all. I think the only time I've even taken it out of my main inventory was to put it in our car glove box when sorting through stuff but I didn't write into it when it was in there and the text has been vanishing when it's been in my main inventory anyway. Sorry for the late response

So far it never sticks. As I said, directly after I write it I check to make sure it saved and it did, but then the next time I check a few minutes later it's gone. The last time I tested it I wrote 'test' then we drove maybe 4 minutes back to our base and it was gone by the time we'd gotten inside. I don't think it's the car that makes it disappear because it has done it twice during a day we didn't use the car at all
