I increased game memory to 12 GB, no change perhaps. Usually I manage to exit the game and when I reload I can play for one more game day, then the stuttering starts, usually when I get back to base where all the loot is

just a hunch, I did nothing special since but it started working again, except stopped leaving the generator interface on my screen while going a long way away. That goes off screen making me delete the layout file to reset it back on screen too. Also despite giving it 12GB, it only used 2 something. Maybe it doesn't need it, IDK

Game doesnt really use more than 2.2gb and a max of 3gb vanilla

Giving it more wont do anything most of the time, unless you use mods

22 Chickens :D, also the zombies been multiplying lately, but that's not it, I'm playing in Builder relaxedly so there's not much going on. I base in that famous spot in N. Muldraugh. I also uncovered the W.Muldraugh farm early and it has a few rabbits, cows, and a lot of pigs, so the game seems to be keeping track of animals well

Really I stopped holding a game window to the generator while moving about, and the periodic stutters and game hangs stopped.

I also forgot the generator running at the fuel station, which may have had something to do with it. I suspect a memory leak by the symptom, I haven't looked at the game's memory consumption while it happened unfortunately. I've stopped before to debug things in PZ and Factorio, and it ruins the game experience. This PZ 43.13.1 run is NOT modded I mention.

Hm, if it happens again, can you send the save so we could investigate it for any leaks? SInce I am not personally aware of any, you might have found some rare ones.

well, it happened again, not sure why. I uploaded my save, but it took a while for this to happen again, I've been playing all day. Included console.txt in upload

In console.txt, these repeat a lot:

Hm, just noticed it is 42.13.1? I am not sure I can accept issues happening on older versions, since the latest one is 42.13.2

We recommend playing on the latest version if playing on 42, or playing on the stable version 41 to avoid issues

the save game got converted, the sound and game stuttering started within minutes, I paused to look at the memory consumption which was fine, but the stuttering went away during the pause. Will upload a save game update if the game threatens a crash again and persistently as before. Same errors appear in the console as before

Does it happen on a new save as well? Since you mentioned it starts stuttering right away?

for now it stopped, there's a hickup every now and then, but I'm only concerned when it makes me save and reload the game. I'll report once that happens again with a new save game upload
