Anyone know how to fix this?
After I click Join Server, it goes through the connecting to steam, joining server etc - and it just seems to get stuck on the
Connect to Server
Server Name: XXXXXXXXX
Username: XXXXX

And then nothing else happens? -> My friend can join my server without issues? I just cant seem to connect myself lol

Getting Server Info > Trying to Connect to Steam > Authorizing with Steam > Joining Game > then nothing happens.

How is the server installed? And can you share a screenshot how you are writing the local IP and connecting to it?

#

So I can confirm its correct

#

Also, share a screenshot of your main menu screen

#

Just to confirm the version of your game

sorry for the late reply

#

Again friend can join just fine - I used to be able to also join just fine.
We didnt play for a few days and then this happened after starting the server up again one day. - I did run the app_update in steamCMD also

Hm, that is very weird, it should work based on all the info you shared

#

Do you have any sort of antivirus or other security software?

#

And can you check if your network is marked as a Private Network rather than a public one?

#

It really shouldnt interfere with loopback adresses, but just in case

Double checking your post, you are installing the B41 version of the server?

#

But the screenshots show you are trying to join on the B42 client?

#

Or am I misreading, since your commands show you are installing the public version

#

app_update 380870 validate

iron heath
#

Just to reiterate I am running this version

iron heath
#

It still results in the same join > kick lines in the SteamCMD

#

It seems like the server with app_update 380870 -beta unstable validate - doesn't update to 42.13.2 - it stays at 42.13.1?

#

Running: app_update 380870 -beta unstable
says: Success! App '380870' already up to date.

Preferably manually delete the server files, then reinstall

#

If that still fails, can you share the server console log and the client console log?

Reinstalling the server files worked......

Kinda weird why you can't just update the server though, seems silly?

It is likely a specific problem on your system or your version of SteamCMD
