Are you able to reproduce this issue without mods?
I’m not sure about that. On the server there are only two quality-of-life mods and a welcome mod, and it’s a dedicated server. In singleplayer I don’t have any issues, but on my server I do. @gusty saffron

Hm, are you in any sort of ranch or farm area? There are certain times zombies are unhittable
But it should not be specific zombies
So I am not sure if your issue is different or the same as others reported
No, regardless of where I am, the same thing happens. I’ve generally noticed that it goes away if I exit and rejoin, but after killing around 50 zombies it comes back… it’s very strange.
I would assume the issue is different in that case
So I can only suggest testing without mods
I guess it could be a desync issue on my end… many players on my server have the same problem, so it could be the host’s fault.
We have the same issue, and surprisingly my friend who's hosting has it the most! No mods and fresh 13.2 world
what are you using to host the server
I'm having this same issue on my locally hosted server (just using the host button on the main menu). No mods, and just like Scias, I have the issue more often than the other players on my server, but they occasionally experience it as well. You can still hit the zombie but it never knocks it back and if you knock it down you can't finish it, you just push air. You have to let it get back up.
You also can't kill these zombies in 1 hit, I've even tried a spear rush. Animation plays, but no damage is done and you're instantly being attacked by the offending zomboid
Damn, this is a serious issue. Like I said, it’s the exact same thing when you try to stomp zombies on the ground the character keeps shoving instead of stomping.
agreed, it's quite game breaking. We're already talking about nuking our server we've been playing on for a couple weeks and going back to an older stable version which would be sad but losing characters to a bug that happens multiple times per play session also feels really bad. I've done a few admin rescues of characters that were bitten due to this bug, but it feels bad to do that too 🤕
