Hi on linux mint. Been having trouble trying to host a vanilla server for friends. It always gets stuck about 40% of the progress bar on "initializing"
I've tried some of the common fixes from what I could find online including:

delete db folder
uninstall/reinstall
setting higher ram allocation (10gb) cause I saw somewhere else that somehow magically fixed it for them

Would love some help trying to sort this out. The weird part is I can join friend's servers fine but it's not ideal as usually I'm the designated host for whenever we play games like this

Are you perhaps launching the game in Proton?

Which would not be recommended, you should use the Native version of the game, not emulating through Proton
