anyone else?
We've been dealing with crashes way too often since this patch. Server was fresh install from steamCMD, full wipe.

These have happened so often, we're debating rolling back.

My next step otherwise is writing a watchdog script to check if rcon is responding. When the server locks up, rcon throws a io timeout.

updated Java. Wasn't showing up when checking the version... now it shows a version

The game already has built in Java, so installing it on the system wouldnt do anything

#

You also installed the wrong Java version

#

I might suggest checking if you have any hs_err_pid files in the server install folder, that might help with finding issues with server crashes

nope
What folder should it be in?

Can you specify how you installed the server?

steamcmd it's a dedicated windows server 2022 box.

steamcmd.exe +login anonymous +force_install_dir "C:\steamcmd\steamapps\common\Project Zomboid Dedicated Server" +app_update 380870 -beta unstable validate +quit

Unusually specific install location, I expect that location with Steam client installs rather than SteamCMD ones, but its good you use SteamCMD then

#

However, I am not sure I can help much in that case, you could upload the save folder for the testers to look at it as well, but I can only suggest waiting for their reply on your bug report post

Is there a way to upload files privately? I try not to ever share my players info, even if it's just guid

I've been having chatgpt clean guid's out for now..
but if there are any other log files that can help fix this, no ones asked for them on the forums.

All the logs are mainly contained in the Zomboid folder, so the server-console.txt file

#

With crashes, its the err pid files, which you do not have

#

And with save specific issues, we need the saves themselves usually
