Building Addons to House

Is there anyway to build onto a house thats already built and have it as an addition to the house? shared temperature, electric, and water

I am not aware of a way other than sepearting the new room with at least a door. Since the way room creation works, is that you need to have player created walls all around the new "room"

Meaning connecting to existing buildings doesnt work, since you would be missing the walls on that side

@edgy moth do you know anything about the Building/Room Editor? I noticed it in the game files, and I could actually access it via the map radial wheel while using Controller, and it seemed to allow me to modify rooms and buildings and such. Debug tool, though.

ahhh i see. makes sense. thank ya for the info. I wonder if they will ever make it so that you can add onto building. I like getting the farmhouse at the bottom of rosewood and i be wanting to make the kitchen way bigger

I have not personally used or accessed it, so I would not know about it, is it only acessible with a controller then?

At the moment that's all I've been able to access it with so far, but I did see some files for it in /media/ so I'll look to see if there's some command I don't know about for keyboard & mouse. Even if it's currently a debug thing, I feel like it's a sign the devs are trying to make a method to solve this issue that players have wanted a solution to for so long.
