Just to start I have tried to use alternate launch to attempt to fix this but it does the exact same thing. Every time I try to start the game it'll change to stop as if the game is starting but then very quickly after goes back to being the normal play button, my console log is completely empty so I'm not sure what's up, haven't played in a while and I already tried reinstalling the game and trying to start with that weird cachedir thing as well as --nosteam. I think this is what stopped me from playing a while back during B41 but I honestly can't remember.

Estou com o mesmo problema
Can you share the output of the alternate launch in that case?
Yes
@idle orchid I fixed it, I had PZ installed on my D: drive instead of my C: drive
@hexed wren sorry for the ping but just in case you see anybody else with the same issue, maybe it'll help someone
So, after I installed another SSD, the problem was solved... On its own, surprisingly... But I believe we shouldn't be the only ones with these issues.
Your issue was that you manually copied extra files in your game folder, not everyone does that and I do not recommend doing that
Actually, I installed the game and encountered the problem described in the post... everything after that was a way to remedy the situation.
The log you sent had only errors from the extra files, if you had any other issues, no logs were shared
Meaning I cannot confirm what issue you had and what fix you did, moving between SSDs is not a fix
It would be if you had extra files, since Steam would not move those extras
Before this, the game wouldn't open; there were no logs to share.
The steps I took were in this sequence... I added the opengl32.dll file, then I put it in compatibility mode with Windows 8 and ran it as administrator. Before that, the game wouldn't start... After these attempts, I contacted you to understand the situation. I didn't change the SSD; I added a new SSD, which is when you asked me to remove the files and try again. After that, the game opened.
As mentioned, I cannot confirm the issue without the logs before it happened, the game always created logs with the alternate launch, so you always had logs to share
Its good that the fix worked for you, but its not a good idea to tell other players that its the fix, if you do not know that yourself
Especially adding any sort of files in the folder
Here is my first log. I didn’t say it was a solution, you asked me about the file that appeared in the log… And I explained my step-by-step process to you… At no point did I say this could solve it, I tried to fix it on my own. My game didn’t even open with this log. I kept trying until the game started to open; before that, it wouldn’t. Then I managed to get to the part where I select the starting location, after that I was able to move to the character attribute selection, and the game crashed. I appreciate your attention in advance, especially since communication has been difficult.
From your log
[15-01-26 15:53:42.835] ERROR: General , 1768503222835> java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Failed to load library: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\opengl32.dll (error code = 193).
So as mentioned, the error is still that you put the files in the game where they should not belong.
I do not have an explanation why it didnt work before, due to not having the logs to it, but it is unlikely getting an SSD and moving the game to it is the solution.
The point isnt to say that you did anything bad by managing to solve it, I am glad it does run, but the point is that it should not be presented as a solution to others without knowing the underlying causes, or saying that you shouldnt be the one with the issues
Since it would be very specific to your system
Sorry, I thought we were discussing our problems as a conversation, not presenting solutions to third parties. But if it wasn't clear, don't buy an SSD or add any adjacent files.
