We need We need backup saves on solo everyday, just lost my 30d run to a game crash. My Game just froze when i was sleeping and my character was about to wake up. Restarted the game, and now when i launch my save, i always get a black screen after the game loaded and i click a button to start the game. Tried to create a new character, but whenever i try to approach my last location, i get a screen freeze (with sound still going on). its really annoying to not be able to restart the game on a automated backup save.

Looks to be an issue with a dead body being rendered, try waiting until the zombie bodies despawn and then try entering the area

how much time does it takes usually? is there a way to speed up the process?

Not exactly sure of the default value, but you can lower it and speed up the process by lowering the despawn value

@polar hedge you can also go into debug mode, click load, click on your save and click more, then add a player, and use that player and the debug options to clean up corpses
