⛏️ SERVER BUMP – OPERATION: DEEP DESCENT ⛏️
The doors beneath the Military Research Facility are opening.
Tonight, survivors are heading 17 floors underground into the mine below — unknown threats, rare resources, and answers long buried await.
⚠️ No guarantees. No second chances.
Bring gear. Bring backup. Or don’t come at all.
👉 Join the expedition. Rally up now.
Merry Christmas!
🩸 Looking for a Project Zomboid server where your time actually matters? 🩸
Crimson Shard is a stable, actively moderated server with a growing community that values long-term survival over gimmicks. You’ll find player-driven factions, meaningful progression, and a world that isn’t constantly wiped or reset without reason.
Whether you prefer building, trading, exploring, or surviving with a small group, there’s room to carve out your place without being rushed or overwhelmed.
If you want a server that’s active, fair, and built to last, The Crimson Shard is worth checking out.
Until the next wipe, we’re doing something different.
For the coming days, Crimson Shard is shifting focus to a special challenge mode:
🏙️ The Louisville Challenge
All factions spawn together
Insane zombie population
No spreading out. No hiding. No solo starts.
Your only objective:
👉 Fight your way out and escape — together.
This isn’t about faction pride.
This is about:
Trust under pressure
Shared risk
Quick decision-making
And seeing who actually works well as a team when things go wrong fast
You will need:
Voice chat
Coordination
Sacrifices
And probably multiple attempts
Death is expected. Chaos is guaranteed.
🧠Timeline
Now → January 2nd:
We focus on the Louisville Challenge
January 2nd:
👉 Main server wipe + new faction system goes live
Until then, treat this as:
A warm-up
A social reset
A test of teamwork before the new world begins
🍺 Tavern Rules for the Challenge
Hop in VC if you join
Stay with the group
No speedrunning solo exits
Wipe together or escape together
If you’ve been waiting for a reason to jump back in —
this is it.
Grab a drink, gather your courage, and meet us at the top.

We’re currently filling up the factions to start our new playthrough on Jan 2nd.
Our new factions
🩸 The Ascended Quiet
Belief: Enlightenment is reached through sacrifice to the dead.
Story:
Followers of the Still Light believe the undead are complete beings, untouched by fear or doubt. The living are unfinished—caught between motion and rest.
They trade and communicate normally, but always guide others toward “acceptance.”
Sacrifice to the zombies is seen as a final act of understanding, not despair.
They do not glorify death.
They glorify completion.
End State:
The Great Offering: members willingly present themselves to the dead in a public ritual, leaving behind a silent, intact base
The Trial of Truth: they begin forcing others to confront the dead, provoking open conflict
Conflict Drivers:
Undermines fortifications and safety planning
Creates fear and doubt inside other factions
Direct ideological threat to survival-focused groups
⚙️ The Last March
Belief: Order keeps people alive.
Story:
Militarized survivors clearing towns, securing routes, and enforcing rules. Discipline above comfort.
End State:
Clear an entire city of zombies
Conflict Drivers:
Brutal enforcement
Zero tolerance for cult influence
Tension with Archivists over secrecy
🧪 The Continuance Protocol
Belief: Knowledge slows death.
Story:
Medics and civilians gathering medical books, VHS, notes, and firsthand accounts. No cure fantasies—only better odds.
End State:
Clear and hold Louisville Hospital as a long-term base.
Succeed → medical stronghold
Fail → wiped out attempting it
Conflict Drivers:
Hoarding medical loot
Ideological enemy of the Ascended Quiet
Reliant on fighters they don’t trust
📚 The Archivists
Belief: If it’s forgotten, it happens again.
Story:
They document factions, betrayals, massacres, and failures. Knowledge is their weapon—and their curse.
End State:
Complete and hide The Living Record across the map.
Conflict Drivers:
Expose secrets others rely on
Targeted for what they know
Forced into violence to protect truth
🧿 The Signal Ward
Belief: Contact spreads ruin. Other factions and people are to be avoided and considered dangerous.
Story:
Isolationists who believe travel, maps, and communication doom survivors. They destroy signs, block roads, and erase trails.
End State:
Remain hidden and sealed
or be destroyed once discovered
Conflict Drivers:
Sabotage routes and trade
Hostile to Archivists and the Protocol
Spark fights through forced isolation
The Factions are filling up nicely. Join in on the fun! We’re wiping tomorrow!
