Dead or Alive 2.0 is a revitalization of my old PZ RP server. Its a vanilla enhanced version of Zomboid with minimal, but immersive, mods that is great for beginners or veterans alike looking for a relaxed roleplay experience. It is ROLEPLAY focused so if you're looking for insane population with sprinters this might not be your jam! We strive to make sure everyone's character feels involved in the story of trying to build a sustainable community in a desolate wasteland.

Lore
In the military base in Knox County the CIA partnered with Humane Labs, a new but technologically advanced company, to create some form of mind control in 1953. While it showed promise the project is terminated in 1964, however it is still worked on away from the government's eyes.
🦠 When an unknown virus kills an unnamed individual in China the CIA gets their hands on a sample, giving the deadly virus to Humane Labs to implement into their- now secret- project; MK-Ultra. The virus undergoes various test trials between 1975 and 1987.
In 1989 the virus was found to instantaneously kill cows. It is found to be the most humane way to farm meat, proving proves to be cheaper and more effective in providing the cows a painless death.
🇺🇸 When George H. W. Bush is elected president in 1992 his first executive order is to ban the virus for use in farms, but Spiffos; a beloved fast food chain in Knox County, still uses the virus secretly.
Unknown to Spiffos, the virus still remains in the meat post death and even after cooking...
