But for this one; try standing closer to the spot you want to build. If that is not working, get some rest, drop some inventory stuff so you have space and try again. It should work fine l.

So if one of them fails you have less parts and no bed. Best to go for single beds first and move to doubles when the Carpentry skill is higher.
