I have the same.. Just run it. You'll see the traits in the character creation screen.
That box on the right is the discription of the mod, it wont show its dependencies. That's on the Steam Workshop

yeah i have the kill count mod too ... not sure if the mod options though...
the traits itself work fine, but i'm concerned about the " ... - Dynamic" - i.e. if that one is loaded, if not shown in the GUI
... and its (the Dynamic) options
but the submod itself says only killcount as a dependency

Have you actually started a game?
Cause dynamic is just that: "dynamic". It will show up eventually. Can't pick a dynamic trait from the start.
yeah i have a game, and the traits are fine... i did not have an opportunity to check the Dynamic (traits) if they work or not - i just expect they don't, as the config screen was not there
If you didn't select it, it's not there.
I haven't seen it since the .5 or so update.

Just lemme ask rq, before I start drewling because I might feel stupid: you want the "Dynamic Traits" part for B42 to be competible with "More Traits", right?

You got the latest version of the More Traits mod, so no need for that.
i just want the "Mode Traits - Dynamic" to kinda work... i'm just suspicious it is "not loaded", because
- it is not on the mod selection menu (might be a b42 feature, dunno)
- it does not have a config-sheet when starting a sandbox game (according to lua it should have some)
Well, Dynamic isn't a thing anymore. It's now integrated in the Settings of the More Traits itself.

There's a literal f*ckton of options you can tweak here ๐คฃ
hmm, to me looks like those are only the options from the main mod :/

Tbh, i've never dived so deep into mods ๐คฃ but I know how to play with them 
(the other 2 submods do not have any option) ... but the main-mod config ends with those 4 "burn ward" ... and the ..Dynamic adds another page
anyway, if the mod is loaded, just the config is omitted - i can survive with that... but i will cry if it doesn't work, which looks it might not
anyway, sorry for bothering - i was trying to troubleshoot, as the symptoms are somehow hinting it's not loaded
maybe - can i easily test if it "works"? ... i mean in debug, to cheat some XP and see if it adds a trait?
You're not bothering ๐ I learn new things this way too ๐
And debug, go nuts with it. There are people in here with PZ going totally berserk with the debug mode ๐ testing every single hit of every weapon etc. So, knock yourself out ๐
not gonna go that deep with debug... but just found C:\Users...\Zomboid\console.txt and i see the loading of the main mod, but not the submod at all ๐ข

hm, isn't this too specific for PZ/b42 ?

where is that exactly? ... i checked their workshop page, i added a comment about this, not sure if anybody will pick up... the guy mentions there to go to "discord" but not sure what's the most related server for that (except of this one ๐ )

creating an empty folder "common" in each submod (just in the same folder where "42" folder is) - now they are visible!!!
