is it possible to recover lost map data with a earlier save back up?

hey so basically my pc crashed and my save is fine but my map data was lost and i have the fog of war on my map in areas i previously visited. i do have a earlier back up, is it possible to copy some files from that earlier backup to the current save file to recover this lost map data?

Yes, you can copy the "map_visited.bin" file from the backup

That contains the map data

map_symbols.bin also contains anything you wrote to the map
