this is a long-time bug, not a 42.9 issue, just fyi. I'm not personally aware of a fix, but i've seen it happen as far back as at least B41 and I think even B40 multiplayer. I don't know what causes it.

sometimes restarting my game fixes it, not always.

not a mod issue btw. mods may play an obscure factor in some way but i've had this in plenty of vanilla runs as well. it's not super common for me though. I see it mostly when I'm "messing around" with the garage door by opening and closing it repeatedly, very quickly

sorry! wish I knew of a fix. I usually plop furniture in front of one of the open spots to block pathing, and use the other spots as a regular door instead
