I had 4 chicken coops which regularly supplied me with eggs originally and it had pigs and rabbits too up top on the same zone
i grinded fitness 6->7 from late November to the entire December thus neglecting my husbandry duties and when i came to check on my coop. the lag was unbearable and i aas crashing a ton. i had graphics to the lowest but it was still painful
i decided to check in the chickens and the overcapped eggs were hatching outside the coops. leading to a population boom of 1000
at first i tried culling them one by one by hand but they were laying more fertilized eggs than i could butcher. so i noticed that killing animals outside the zone doesn't stress them. so I removed their zone and hit em with my bat
the ENTIRE ranch got stressed and pigs started destroying the walls. i got fed up and started smacking literally every animal in sight, pigs, rabbits, chickens, baby lambs it was a bloodfest
since i closed the coops there are at least 50 dead chicken inside of them and 50 random chicks scattering around the zone
my base has tons of roaming animals now and god mercy on my soul as they slowly aggro zombies to my base
