If you only plan to sleep downstairs, then sure.

I often add a heat source close to where I sleep, so it can maintain temps while sleeping in winter or when sick.

You should add new furniture, like sofas and other things. Change the TV to the premium technologies, put the shelves in a different place. Paint the walls with a color you like and if you want to - change the floor to the brighter.
