Picking it up with debug mode doesn't seem to make a difference. I've built a butcher hook on top of it as well but the game says it's an invalid animal.

hello I been having that same issue with corpses, I recommend butchering outside in a open field since it seems like your guy want to butcher that raccoon on the side of the wall. I hope this fixes your issue with the smaller animals until they actually patch this. sadly Idon't know how to include videos on there bug report.
