#What if someone hosted a community zomboid siege?

I just finished watching LOTR Two Towers, and it got me thinking, what if someone or we hosted an event with around a hundred players to fight off an army of zombies in a siege? If we were to have a couple weeks or a month to find a base and fortify defenses, and have it tested against an onslaught of undead, I think that would create a level of teamwork, fun and excitement we havent seen in a while. I also personally really want to see how long a large group of people can last against such a ridiculous amount of zombies using defensive tactics and strategies that aren’t just either lighting them on fire or leading them to another area. That’s just me tho, but I honestly think it would be enjoyable for all players, new or experienced.

Hi, I want to and I'm already involved (modding, testing, starting to contact the mod creators).
but to be honnest, I have no experience running, leading a server with that much planning and such, only the tech stuff, and all theorical for the moment.

But I'm in EU so yeah always consider AREA for the servers.
And 100 players is not cheap! and maybe with big hordes and a lot of zeds getting down or changing paths is gonna be too heavy I'm afraid.

PVE-VP like this: PVE oriented (with a different safety for PVP= pvpMode vs pvpMode, pveMode remain safe)

My idea of gameplay/roleplay is about teamwork clearing/cleaning areas, starting with clearing the 1first spawn area to make it a (rather safe) ZONE Alpha. then developpe other zones notably: one Zone Beta close to 1st spawn until clearing second major spawnpoint (and rather-safe) ZONE Charlie.
(activating a second spawnregion for the second "chapter", I already made those spawnregions)

The first major-setting is Helicopter Sometimes or at least use them(GM or admin) to bring the hordes.

With mods theyknew and the infection detector: that would be the second major-setting the RP: the infected player banished from safe zones and faction.
And for that we create the faction of the non-infected

mods to allow sharing map info and also have faction global markers.

More mods to enhance defenses (like metal walls/fences etc.., would need a group of 16 zeds to be ables to damage them. and mod to see the defenses HP)

Mod to make shops or quests to help refill shop could be engaging but not required or necessary, players could just ignore it, the server loot should be adjusted .

I'm working on a mod (spoiler that would help clearing hordes pretty well or relatively at least but it's fire related) to add a little UMPF to the server.

I rly want to make collectiv clearing/cleaning unit working togheter (or at least, following the gameplay/rp and progressing it not too far off the set "direction")
