```Back in 2001, the world was slowly dragged to a painful end. The Blight, as it had become colloquially known, had cropped up somewhere in a distant land called "New Guinea", infecting primarily lumber and other floral products. The lumber was sent across the world, and the nations of the times struggled to battle it, eventually being crushed under sheer numbers.
The current year is roughly 2167. You find yourself in the midst of Knox; an untamed land ripe for resettlement. Perhaps you've across the Ohio from The Borsch Principality, a industrious and theological state that scorches the land they settle to prevent the expansion of the Blight, and pollute the air like London of old. Perhaps you're from the Kingdom of Voldain east, who seek to resettle and rebuild under the order and vision of their king, and fielded in their by the many governors who've been corrupted by power and status. Perhaps even you're from somewhere else; be it a person who's traveled from far, or has lived near to the area for some time.
What you seek from settlement is a choice of your own. Do you seek to aid the nation that you've come from, and borrow their powers when the need arises in exchange for your loyalty and support? Do you seek to homestead, free of the control of the larger powers, reliant on your own hands to guide you? Maybe you even seek to begin forming the foundations of your own state, and become renowned of your own accord; for better or worse.
Whatever path you choose, your destiny is within your own hands. May the Blight stay far out of your path, and the Aurora of the sky light up your path forward in life.```
