Yes. Becuase there is NO RECIPE for a crude saw.
I can only find it as an alternative option for other items.
But it does infact exist.. somewhere- somehow.

i know its not ideal for a wilderness playthrough, but saws are presently plentiful elsewhere.
on top of that, you don't need a saw to build a log house
on top of that, if the crude saw is anything like the crude blade, it is going to be an insane amount of work to be able to craft one without finding various tools in buildings
