Is it just me, or are the forging items and crafting magazines impossible to find? I cleared Riverside but couldn’t find some essential items and not a single crafting magazine in the bookstore. Not even in the library did I find magazines that teach how to craft items.

i think the loot pools have gotten diluted due to the influx of loads of new items. They'll likely have to tweak it

Exactly, you loot an entire city and get almost nothing. I just wanted to make armor out of magazines LOL

Safe houses have the weapon schematics, I found 3 in one safe house

And seemingly their loot is a lot more confused in B42

I've found that gas stations are actually the best locations now for magazines. Have a look at the new b42 map and go on a crusade to each gas station. I guarantee you'll find most of what you're looking for.
Also yeah, essential magazines like how to use generators are even more rare. I reckon they should increase its spawn rate / introduce it into the item pool for electrical maintanence buildings. I cleared maybe 15 of them thinking that for sure you would find one there but got nothing.
