This is EASILY my new favorite base in the game. And it's not even for the easy eggs - although I wish I had been able to find a generator handbook in time to keep som frozen... the middle outbuilding is basically the perfect base IMO. Tons of shelving, a bunch of space, a little paved area out front that I'm going to fence once I've had a chance to go get lumber... PLUS it's very, very close to the gas station, and to a house that I think has a guaranteed spawn of an antique stove in the basement (south, the one between two farms, I've visited three times and it's always had it?) And some serious freezer space that I don't have to lug around.

To gussy it up a bit, I lugged over a cot - I've dismantled six small blue beds and never gotten a 2/2 lol. I'm hoping I can find the generator book before the cabbage farm up north rots for the winter - I'd love three freezers full of cabbage lol. I've also got a couple rain catchers, and as soon as I can get some metal bars, probably going to weld up the outer windows to give myself a bit of a solid barrier back there.

but the upkeep of it is hard

1 chicken coop is good enough, and there are better farms with barns for big animals

one bad thing about it - no well, that i know of

if you mod the game then you can build one or have a water tank trailer

I have a few water collectors, and I'm planning to thin the flock a bit come winter... maybe swap in some cows, if I can find one

I think they forage in the grass
and there are existing water troughs for the rain to top up.
