Hey there!! :D
You know, i love Project Zomboid. If you don't belive me, then know that i have like 957 hours in the game.
Yeah, so many hours! But, unfortunately that doesn't defy my skills. So far, the furthest i have gone in PZ was probably like 8 or less days. But now, i have concluded my new record of a gameplay! Meet Jeremiah Catalano! 21 days survived, and prolly something 700+ kills! This is huge for me. Finally got to live through week one! Sadly, not long enough to see the power and the water go out. Anyways, here's a picture of the guy before get mauled by zombies in a clothing shop's restroom while taking a dump

The fact that he looks like any forestman is because i was too busy with everything else, and couldn't spare second to cut off his beard. ((i never was a beard guy to be honest.
how can you have 900+ hours in the game and say you have a record of 21 days !? i have 730 hours and my "record" to say so was 14 months and i gave up on the save because i wanted new mods. i curently have a 3 months save with only 70-80 hours or so real life and i have 80% of the base set up, a truck with trailer, some nice cars, nice stock of ammo and weapons and good skills
and my loot respawn is off, very low food and items in general and i still found some crazy shit in only 3 months
I'm the defenition of skill issue.
Also, i gotta mention that in the first 700+ hours, give or take, i wasn't setting up temporary bases
Hey man you're doing great, its all about learning at the end of the day, with each death we learn a little more! if you say your skills are the issue there are a fuck tonne of guides and stuff on how to be better at combat and shit! are you playing with a lot of mods? id try a vanilla run to get used to it if you haven't
like joe said, its about learning, you will get there but try some guides, they will help, also, temporary bases are a waste of time if you ask me, you can sleep in a cleared house very well and there s food around all the time, you don t need to waste your time securing a base for each town, just focus on one, but of course if you get bored of that one, you can rent another :)) don t go kamikaze into combat, nice and slow, stealth is your friend and take care of your cars and they will take care of you
Actually, i've been playing Vanillia alot aswell. Sometimes with mods that only add to the game with "Quality of Life" features if that's the defenition for it. And to make it a liittle bit more realistic if it isn't realistic enough. Thank you for your words, i appreciate your support! :D
Hey, that's something i will try to look out for. Thanks for telling me this now! :) I think my problem is that i can't get out of situations that require quick decision making, and that's why i die most of the times. Or i just run out of choices to take. Mostly the second one.
Ah okay yeah I get that, I think a lot of the time its about knowing when to get into certain situations in the first place, like if something is too much of a risk then it'll 9 times out of 10 end up going shit. is it normally running away from zeds and stuff like that? if so like Wolf said stealth is super important, you probably know this but the way the zeds work is if they see you they wont stop chasing you, if you're getting chased it's always best to weave in and out of buildings or around corners/trees if you're in the wilderness. Sound is important but if they can't see you it's super easy to lose them!
Yuh! I actually know these, and i do stealth aswell. I just get dumb alot of the time
