Coldwinds offers a Semi-RP Cryogenic Survival experience, not one to take lightly. We're a group of friends who ran an earlier installment of Coldwinds in '23, but this time around we felt it needed more depth. While the hardcore survival was great - with epic base builds and intense moments - we wanted characters to mean something more than just their skills and gear. So this time around we added light roleplay to make each encounter matter.

Changes for this season include:

The removal of the semi-RP part of our server, meaning we'll be a full Survival server after Saturday.
The removal of whitelisting.
Adding the mod Multiplayer Three Zones: PVE, PVPE, PVP to make sure PvP can only happen between players that have their flag enabled.

More information about Zombie Hunter:

Basic Information

Each round has 10,000 zombies to eliminate
You can hunt every 3 hours
The round ends when all zombies are eliminated
Equipment and achievements persist between rounds

Commands

!hunt - Hunt zombies (3-hour cooldown)
!weapon - Show your current weapon stats
!equipment - Display your equipped items
!achievements - View your achievement progress
!leaderboard - See top players and remaining zombies

Weapons

You start with a Baseball Bat and can find better weapons while hunting. Weapons are tiered from basic to powerful:

Baseball Bat → Kitchen Knife → Machete → Crowbar
Fire Axe → Crossbow → Pistol → Shotgun
Flamethrower → Military Rifle → Grenade Launcher
Tesla Coil → Minigun → Rocket Launcher

Equipment

You can find equipment while hunting that provides bonuses:

Armor: Reduces cooldown time
Scope: Increases maximum damage
Magazine: Increases minimum damage
Extra: Chance for extra attacks

Achievements

Multiple achievement categories to unlock:

Zombie Slayer: Kill milestones (10, 100, 250, 1000, 2500 zombies)
Weapon Master: Collect different weapons
Equipment Master: Collect equipment pieces

We're enthusiastic to announce Season 3 of Coldwinds will offer a new challenge this time around! Instead of just Cryogenic Winter, we're now also introducing Scorching Summer. Meaning, Coldwinds, this Season, will feature Winter, Autumn, Spring and Summer -- Winter and Summer being the toughest to survive. In short, these are the most important changes made for Season 3:

- Cryogenic Winter & Scorching Summer
- More Varied Erosion
- Full PvP
- Safehouse Claim After 2 Days of Survival Instead of 3
- Added New Cars
- Gas Consumption of Cars Increased
- Less Initial Gas in Cars and Gas Stations```
