simple, disable all mods and see if the problem still happens. if it doesn't, it's not the base game code. Unfortunately it is the case that the vast majority of the mods log nothing and can't or won't bother with effective exception handling so you typically won't find anything in the logs indicating what mod is causing an issue.
You'll just have to disable mods until the problem goes away.
