Journey to clear out Louisville

Pardon my base, it's been like that since the generator exploded and eats up half of my base. I've rebuilt it but the grass has been burnt and I can't do farming there anymore 😦
I'm planning to build garage later

Anyway, it's been 3 months in and I've yet to enter Louisville. Electricity and water has been cut off and it's winter. My foods has been running out quite fast.

I'm using Traits Magazine mod but I think I'll use evolving traits mod next time, feels like more progressive instead of just finding a book

Axe uses a lot of stamina if equipped with both hands so yeah, I really like chopping zeds so I prefer one-handed, low cost stamina weapon to kill lots of zeds

i barely pass 2 weeks despite almost 300 hours of playtime

This is like, my 28th character? Not counting the one I "cheated" a bit but eventually died too because I want to restart

never thought about it, but too late to choose other weapons because character became a master of axes

short blade has almost 0 cost stamina but range is too short, skip :<

It's fine! With high level weapon skill, it reduces stamina cost too

No idea, I hope they release it soon but also hope that they take their time to polish the game before release

So I made groundwork for the garage and instantly regret it. Only big enough to fit in like, 3 vehicles and the location isn't super great

I got bitten on the neck while refilling fuel for my bus.. the zeds was in blind spot, I hate the petrol station since it has roof that's hard to see 😦

I have that mod. What happened was yes I was bitten but I did not realize I got bleeding as well so I bled to death. Was too busy running away from zeds

Tried activating siren in the middle of WP residental area and it's SUPER EFFECTIVE

Best weapon class. Though spears are also quite busted

I'm afraid it is impossible to get a +1 Long Blade and +1 Spear for a reason

Burnt down so I hammer down the burnt ones

Tried spear and almost died because of insta-kill animation lock. The zeds almost dragged me down because I can't move during the insta-kill animation

For spears, you are forced to fight a certain way

You gotta bunch up the zombies and get them coming at you from one direction

This prevents the animation lock attack

What you really want are the glaive-swing crits

All worth it for those constant, always instantkill crits

Oh yeah I noticed I used about 1 endurance every 2 or so swing animation and my skill level is 4

When I lost my 7 months game, I died with Long Blade and Spear as the highest weapon skills (behind Maintenance anyway)

So I usually use long blade for large horde and spear for smaller horde

Long Blade is just more versatile

Spear is also great for hordes, but it force you to play in a certain way

I didn't plan to rebuild the log fence but heck, it just doesnt feel right. Also the double wooden gate is broken. I can't place anything there :/

1. Secure nearest safe house
2. Secure nearest and more safe giga mart
3. Secure nearest gun store for resupply ammo
4. End-goal : Clear the area and the sweep the rest of the LV

Oh right, I think I'm going to abandon the current base, turn off the generator and bring all the necessities into my bus

In August, you could just drive around it

But this late into the game, you're gonna have to remove said cars

First goal reached! As expected had to clear lotsa zeds around there, I even use shotgun to literally lure them all to one spot. First house had a perfect car with gas, it's a good sign :>

But seriously this house is pretty decent. It's safe with high walls, a large yard, even a small pier for fishing and unlimited water, pretty close to gas station and probably quite safe from zeds migration

Just need to close off those small gaps

Bonus objective : Need to clear this area too

Cleared part of the gun store. I ran out of ammo and my hands are injured, I can't chop them up so Imma rest up for a bit to restock my ammo and wait for my hand to be healed with time

Apparently if a generator's condition is below 20%, it has a chance to explode. I neglect mine for a very long time and when I came back home from looting, it's already on fire
