So we've been playing a modded file for 2 weeks using Sophie's modpack, and yesterday I found a 3rd, unknown variant of flare simply called "Signal Flare". Because I was already carrying 2 kinds of flares in my pack, I decided to light that one and drop it. The item instantly showed a red X over the icon and had (Broken) at the end of the name. When i dropped the flare, the visual/audio effect stayed on my character. We've been waiting for it to burn out naturally but it hasn't. I finally shot myself in the head to remake my dude--same loadout as before--and the effect still follows me. It even followed me before I put all my gear back on.
As I'm the host of our file, this basically renders me unable to play without driving everybody (and myself) crazy or without muting sound effects.
Anyone have any idea how to fix this? We'd be incredibly upset if we had to dump all the progress we've made.
Of note: I did, for whatever reason, have the flare favorited when I lit/dropped it.
Also our days are set to 6 RL hours long (for 24 hours).
