the roof looks like this, is there a way to only destroy the top layer and keep the bottom one?

#

so it looks like this

#

you can see in my first image that i have the top layer selected, i had one tile where i could destroy just the top roof layer and keep the bottom roof layer

#

but the rest of the tiles now destroys both

#

using R to switch between things on the same tile does nothing btw

craft a floor on that tile?

#

or if you had placed a floor decoration tile from a house on there just pick it up and move it into a trashcan or container

i managed to destroy the top layer on the red tile, but on the green tile both top and bottom layer got removed

random quiver
#

so you want to be able to fall through the floor without it appearing like there's no tile?

I want to destroy the top layer without destroying the bottom layer of the roof

#

I managed to do it with 1 tile but idk what happened

random quiver
#

why?

vital dove
#

to make it flat?

random quiver
#

oh you're talking about those corners?

vital dove
#

no

#

if you look at my first drawn image, we are clipping into the corners and the top layer

#

it produces a lot of weird visuals

I see what you mean now, only way I know how to fix that is by replacing it with a built tile. Pre-built buildings tend to be kinda wonky with borders, for example if you break a wall in a pre-built building it'll still be a shadow there that represents said broken wall despite it not being there

#

you can't see which tile is walkable either

#

its very fucking weird

vital dove
#

but you can on this one

Wish I could help. I just generally stay away from modifying existing structures. It only leads to trouble.
