Just lets you press any part and "Train mechanics and it'll automatically remove and re-attach all parts of the vehicle. For training purposes.

All the regular mechanics are still in place. You'll still fail to remove/install parts and break them eventually. It just makes it so that you don't have to remove and install every single part manually. Pure QOL

Maybe. IDK. It's all the same as doing it manually. Just automated. You'll still break things and doing the easy tasks like removing battery, light bulbs and radio is still a 1-time XP thing. Do it twice on the same car and you'll only get XP for the more advanced parts.

But my mods and setting are a lot easier than yours. But a lot of zeds. But that only makes it harder to survive the first month or so. After I manage that it's mostly a walk in the park and merking zeds with relative impunity. But I like that "end-game" aspect of it as well. The game is a lot more than just killing zeds after all.

I tend to do pretty methodical clearing of zeds. Clear an area, press Q, clear whatever comes to me. Then walk a little closer, not much, and press Q again Just deliberately pull a few at the time.

This was in the MD church. Great place to base up. The main hall was basically turned into a prep room for raiding new areas hence all the army boxes. Removed the main door and replaced it with a garage door too to park the raid vehicles indoors.

The whole damn neighborhood burned down and all that was left in our base was one small crate of med supplies.

I had over 600 on my SP game but I CBA adding that many all at once on the MP server. But new mods are still trickling in every day.

It was kinda my own damn fault tbh. Was gonna make fishsticks. Put the pan on the oven, turn it on and left the fishsticks on the plate next to it. Turns out I turned on the heat on the side where the fishsticks were, not the pan. Then went back to my computer room to browse for 4-5 mins while the pan got hot. Turns out fiststicks burn really well and really fast. When the fire alarm went off flames were already licking the roof and had been sucked into the air draft as well.

Things escalated quickly from there.

Not really. Once the mods load in its fine. It is extremely laggy for the first couple of minutes in the game though. You better log out somewhere safe.

Just me and my cat. We both got out fine. I had to go to the hospital for 24H on observation and oxygen due to smoke inhalation. I kept running in and out with fire extinguishers to put it out. There was no stopping it, but I kept it from spreading at least. But the old family photos were on a shelf just across from the kitchen and they were lost along with my favorite teddybear as a kid which was sitting on top of that shelf.

The fire department said that my efforts were the only reason that house didn't burn down completely but also that it was VERY stupid to do such a thing 😛

I used up my own and three other neighbors fire extinguishers doing that shit. Four empty bottles on the kitchen floor

But I learned a few things that day. Never leave the oven on if you're not in the room. Make 100% sure you turn on the right plate. Make 100% sure the plates are off after you're done.

I've made all of those mistakes before and nothing happened. But I wont make them again.

His dog was so cool though. Never needed a leash. It didn't react to other aggressive or curious dogs. If the other dogs got too close you just pointed at a spot and told it go there and it would. Out of reach from the other aggressive dog and never getting brought down to its level.

You could tell it "Go outside and take a sh*t" and it would do it. When it came back in and you said it again it would go out and try then come back in.

My next game will be with rare loot for sure though. I usually go from house to house every 2 days or so for the early days just for food. About a month in and I'll establish an actual base. But each house tends to have enough food to last a couple of days at minimum

Reversing over zombies has saved my ass so many times when I start with "Burn Ward". You can't really move with that damage and taking on more than 3 at a time is impossible. And you wont even outrun slow shamblers. Finding a car with keys and fuel is key to clear out around the base. Over time I have learned that reversing over them so the fall and just squishing them under the tires after that makes the car last for ever.

I think it still damages the tires, suspension, trunk space and trunk lid. But who cares? It'll still run and keep running them over.

I think it actually damages the fuel tank as well, but not sure. And you probably don't have that much fuel anyway 😄

This blue GMC Syclone was what enabled me to clear the area I started at in the MD church save. I never repaired it. Just gave it a spot of honor in my collection with red ropes around it and stuff. But I kept its battle damage.

Don't have any pictures of that spot though which is a shame.

OFC. I use a lot of mods that some people might consider to be cheaty. But the very fact that I consider them to be cheaty if abused means I don't use them like that.

There may be mods that affect the durability of vehicles but none that I know of. That'll be "hidden" features of the mod if that is the case.

I came across a stream from "Slushpuppy" a few years ago when he played a highly modded PZ game and figured this is the game for me. Yeah, maybe. But PZ has been in development for 13 years and they're still not done. Along the way they have recruited devs from the modding community. In many cases I feel like the modders are just "completing" the game.

There's a lot of talented people out there willing to work for free to make the game better and I really admire that.

It's really good yeah. It's even a movie car. It featured briefly in a purple wrap in an opening scene of a (Really shitty) Norwegian car movie.

The movie itself is really crap but they made an effort to feature many legendary cars from the Norwegian car scene which kind of redeems it.

I mean eventually all the cars I used this tactic with broke but I just attributed that to me running them over head first some times. Maybe it'll do less damage if you only squish them with the rear wheels? I have seen people say that running over zeds can damage the fuel tank. Maybe it does the same to the engine if they are underneath the front wheels?

I have read and experienced that the engine does not take damage if the hood is over 0%. Maybe just running over some of them and heading to safety to swap hoods can save things as well.

And 14 hours is conservative estimations as well. No direct flights from here to the US. I'd have to transfer through another large airport in Europe. Who knows how many hours of waiting in airports for connecting flights.
