My personal PZ challenge

The challenge for my current run is simple, I spawn as an insurgent air dropping near the secret military base (mod) and my goal is to reach the frigate (also a mod) within 7 days. I will be posting updates of each ingame day here.

Day 1

I started off, obviously landing near the secret military base and ditched my parachute before organizing my inventory. My modded traits gave me a JS2000 and a few boxes of shells, these would probably be more useful later so I stored them in my backpack and opted to main my machete. Most of the day I spent making my way out of the evil forest and killing whatever zombies were attracted to my shuffling and rustling, before finally making it out to a set of 3 distant houses. After searching through the first two I found some canned food and just surplus of supplies I already had, and decided to base up in the third as the sun had set. My current goal would be to acquire a vehicle, and sadly none of three houses had a parked car. They’re probably be a wrecked one or something down the road later but for now this is just day 1.

Day 2-ish I didn’t get enough time to finish day 2, but ingame it’s already 3pm so whatever.

I took what supplies I could carry from the house and moved on, stopping at a house with a garage. Luckily I had a sledgehammer I somehow spawned with and broke open the wall to the garage since the door was locked, and it was full of 2 propane tanks and other metal junk. I couldn’t waste time here as I had a journey to finish, and sadly no car yet. A vehicle would be really useful so I continued looking at houses for any and ended up at a farmhouse with a pot of uncooked soup I cooked, and a butload of canned food. So, I cleared the area and sheeted the windows and decided to end here for today

Day 2-ish (final part of day 2)

So, after loading back in I continued moving and went north to the next house. I found a car but it was sadly wrecked and was no use, and upon entering the somewhat warehouse building the house had behind it there were two zombies smacking at the windows. I opened one to let one in but was overconfident and got scratched at the feet and fell over from the zomvie lunging right after it fell on its stomach. I quickly crushed its head in and killed the other one, and found two packets of CABBAGE SEEDS!!! definitely gonna use these late game but for now I headed toward the house and curtained the bedroom window before then finally going to sleep.

Day 3

So after finishing up my business in the last house I ended off in I got up and crossed across the field, killing a few zombies as I got to the rosewood FD. After chopping down a few more I realized my machete condition was getting in the orange so I looted the FD for a few things, mainly a good condition axe to replace my machete when the time comes. I headed to the PD and cleared out three EOD zombies, a riot zomvie and a few normal ones. Most of the gear on the riot zomvie was intact and provided more protection than my current armor so I only had to swap out my pants because the rest were just pauldrons, knee and elbow pads. Finally, finally I had found a vehicle and two! Each had 84% condition but the trunk and doors were locked. It was a swat van and police cruiser. I was too fatigued and exerted to pry the doors open so after killing a few more troublesome zombies I went back to the FD and went to sleep to finish off the 3rd day. Tomorrow I’ll be looting up the PD and FD to prepare for my journey, as well as collecting the canned food from the previous destinations.

Day 4

upon waking up I ate some food and cleared the surrounding area, immediately making my way back to the swat van and killing whatever was in my way. Since I was well rested and not exerted it took a few tries but I finally pryed open the door, and unlocked doors and the trunk. I used the trunk to store all my extra goods I didn’t need on hand so now I have storage for stuff. I really didn’t do anything else rather than prepping the FD for the helicopter by sheeting the second floor windows. Tomorrow I’ll finish up prepping for the road trip by taking the car down to the previously visited houses and filling it with the food I left at said houses and then hunker down at the FD for day 6.

Day 5

I started by clearing the surrounding area of the FD and then accidentally hit Q instead of space when crushing a zombies head in, attracting a small party of zombies I quickly dispatched. I got rid of whatever zombies were in the way as I headed back to the PD and finished prepping the car Incase I needed to bail out. I raided the PD and it’s armory for some surplus gear and more ammo for my shotgun, which will be very useful in case I need to bug out when the helicopter comes tomorrow. I didn’t get the chance to do what I had planned due to how I woke up too early and had too much fatigue, so I spent the rest of the day prepping the FD and reading mechanics vol 2 book. Then I realized I stupidly left my crowbar on me instead of in the truck, which sucked because it gave me a bit of extra weight to carry.

Days 6 & 7

Ngl I’ve just been sitting inside all day waiting for the helicopter for these two days

Day 8

the storms are gone, so I decided to finish prepping the bail out car and took it south to snatch up the ton of food and loot from the previous houses, and David! I forgot my earbuds for the radio but thankfully I remembered the frequency for the AEBS and tuned in on the car radio, and ended up at the last house I was at before I went to the FD. So to end the day I’ll be sleeping in my car, and I already know the helicopter will come tomorrow since it only comes days 6-9 and it’s already day 8 with no sign of it.
