Hello Zomboid Community,

Our Server is nearing its second year of operation! This recent Summer 2024, we regularly reached the Top 100 to 200 Project Zomboid server list! We would like to reach higher rankings in the seasons to come. Each season of The Sprinting Dead will have a public 'Survivor Camp' for refugees and newer players to the game, who need a hand. Our server will also offer slightly different, semi-RP challenges and themes, after each wipe session. We plan to have regular 3-month IRL wipe cycles.

This is a Difficult settings server.
Our server is designed for experienced project zomboid players or newer players who want a challenge. There are SOME sprinters activated during daytime hours in-game, about 1 in 10. At night time, zombies slow down. So it maybe better to travel, explore, and scavenge at night! You are encouraged to team up with others or join a faction. There are strength in numbers here--you'll likely need them.

End-game loot, rifles and ammo, are intended to be very rare.
In addition to difficult zombie behaviors, some items might be difficult to find. Players are encouraged to loot and install a 'desktop computer' to access ZBAY, after you've found a safehouse and power generator for yourself. Money, zombie loots, cracked bank vaults or cash registers, all drop valuables and cash to quick-sell on ZBAY. So Buy, Sell, and Trade, with ZBAY!

We host Server Events and a semi-RP storyline.
Each 'Season' of The Sprinting Dead will involve an intricate storyline for the survivors of Knox County. These are entirely optional, but everybody and anyone are welcome to signup and join in on them. They will range in difficulty and variety of objectives. Completing them will likely provide valuable rewards and perhaps some loots not obtainable elsewhere in the game.
