I may not have an M16 right now, but I have an M14, which is an absolute headshot machine.

One can discuss things all day about those two rifles and which is better in real world conditions.
But for the purpose of this game the only real difference between them is that the M14 actually does more damage with its larger .308 rounds than the M16 does with its puny 5.56 ammo. The M16 might have less recoil just like it does irl, but I really can't recall a big difference in accuracy or recoil. Just that the M14 consistently one shots zeds. The M16 rarely does.
