Do you have any mods enabled perhaps? Did you change your Steam username recently?

Any mods that add traits or skills or occupations?

They are known to cause character loading issues

I can only suggest retrying the connection several times in that case, as that has sometimes fixed the issue, or removing the mods and starting a new character

If you do find a new cause then you can let me know, but I cannot really help if your issues are caused by mods

You can try loading the backup, but you would lose the rest of the progress you made since the backup

The Server IDs are no longer used either

I would suggest just using admin powers to give back any skills or items after you remove the problematic mods

The contents of the save in the Saves folder should go to the server save

That is basically all

You can also check the db folder for the players.db file

That one also needs to go to the save folder
