Cant get my zomboid to zoom on steamdeck

Hey guys, for some reason i just cant get zoom working on deck.

Ive made my grip buttons simulate - and =, and i know the game is seeing the inputs (i tried directly rebinding the buttons in the menu with the grips which worked), but ingame i cant zoom at all with said buttons.

ive even got a mouse cursor with clicks working, but no zoom.

tried a full system restart to no avail.

(in settings i also rebound it to keypad)

yeah wtf other inputs are working

its ONLY zoom thats dnot working

setting a grip to L then srtting L to toggle ui - works completely.fine

only zoom breaks
