#Day 40 and life just got hard.

I am on day like 40 rn. And, life just got real hard. I was on the close outskirt of riverside to the north east. I went out to kill a small horde that was idle next to my base. Before dealing with the bodies I look around to see if the coast is clear. And I look out far North West of me, and I see like, 30 zombies come out of the woods. Was sketchy for a second, but I was able to kill them. But thats the last of the good news. I look again, and now there is like a 200 zombie horde coming towards me, and the leaders of it are already in aggro range. Meaning I cant kill them and then hide before the main horde sees me.
I pop some beta blockers, bandage a wound, take some pain meds, drink from my canteen, and eat a can of potatoes, because I know its going to be hectic in a second and I will need to be able to move for a while.
As I am attempting to flee, I sometimes have zombies surround me, so I kill 5-10 more on my way out of riverside. And I then lose the horde in the woods. I do not think I can go back to my base. The passing wall of flesh would have destroyed my doors and windows and likely populated the upstairs, so grabbing resources is a no go, and the dead bodies of the 50-60 I killed will break off a large portion of the horde to idle around my base as they eat the dead (mod). Getting back to the base is a non-option.
I am now in the middle of the woods at night, with level 1 exhaustion. I have 3 cans of food, half a canteen of water, basic medical supplies, a crowbar as a weapon, a backpack and fannypack. I do not have the resources or knowledge to survive in the woods, and with 200 zombies somewhere in the woods, I do not feel safe attempting to sleep on the ground.
Anyone with more experience got any ideas?
is the goal to lead the hoard away and return to base?
I have 1000+ hours and even i didn't make it pass two months yet
Is that a realistic goal though? I figured with having exhaustion and little to no resources spending extra time in the area to draw the horde away could be a death sentence. Especially since even if I was successful, there would still be a large number that are idling at the base eating the dead, which wouldn't as easily be drawn away.
Not trying to push off the suggestion, just nervous about dying. Hell broke lose right as my character got rid of his negative traits and had just finishing preparing for the long hall
"I decided I really wanted a long-term playthrough, so I downloaded a bunch of mods and spawned in riverside."
Breaking: Reading comprehension at an all time low.
