basically, if you level a skill without reading the books, you can read the books later to get all that lost xp back
makes the game so much better imo

its the man himself! Love your mod. Just wish that I could make bloater's a 1/1000 occurrence. I can't up the spawn rates of the other infected enough to do it :/

I can only up the other’s to 100 max
If i maxxed everything else that’d be a 1/300 chance for bloater’s to spawn. But that would also mean around a third of the zombies are clickers which i don’t wanna do

Well, in the future update, these will be updated to 1k max
Tho I guess I could up it more but I doubt there's a point to it
But I could leave it as an option but since the idea is that every weight gets added and every spawn chance is weight/sum of all you can easily go to 4k max for TLOU Infected for example

And once you start adding other addons that add more zombies you end up to a lot, especially for an addon that adds a lot of zombie types
But yeah I could leave the option available to go even further than 1k
I personally think 1k is perfect but other people might want the bloaters to even rarer
The thing is that with TLOU Infected specifically there's no point to it bcs you already lower the zombie population by a fuck ton
Like to 0.1 easily to make it playable
And considering my Clickers and Bloaters might get even more hardcore in the rewrite, you'll probably lower that even more
But yeah I'm excited to finish it but taking a small break rn, animations hit me hard :)
How are the clickers gonna get changed? I know that bloater’s are gonna get spore bombs (hopefully) but what about clickers?
Also would the spore bombs just do damage like in the game or would they actually infect you?
I'm not too sure for that, I believe they are acidid so they could burn you perhaps ?
I looked it up and a fan theory was that the spores from the bombs basically acted like a mycotoxin. Basically a mat for the actual infectious spores to get into
Bloaters will probably not get spore bombs at the release of the rewrite, I'll most likely explore it later down the line
Clickers are going to be a bit much faster and will not be able to fall on the floor when climbing fences unless they tried to catch you by lunging at you from the fences. That way you can't abuse them easily on the ground if you want to do that you'll have to take risks getting close to the fence (they won't climb the fence very fast tho, it'll be slow so you can still use fences to slow them)

Nah it's a lie, the original dev didn't explore actually rewriting their behavior
Yes he did explore actually reducing their eyesight to an extremely low point where they basically don't see shit
But he didn't actually try to just rewrite their detection mechanism
I was able to make clickers eat other infected
So that's a first

I play with grabby clickers off cause i wasn’t able to figure out how to escape
Just like in the game, I love that. Makes it a viable way to both kill an infected and get away from a clicker
Yeah it's very sus, I plan on changing this

What if when you had a short blade weapon in your hotbar, when a clicker grabs you, you can press the push button to automatically take it out and stab the clicker

I still find grabby clickers to be very unfair bcs in the base game you can sort of dodge
