I got a 3x3 barrel grid (half built) that I want to connect my sink to that is directly below.
Even though the barrels contain waiter, I dont seem to be able to connect them.
The barrels at the house wall worked and connected fine with the inside sink.

Just build a 2x1 wall around it and if you did it right the outside should shift to a blue color.

Also after you plumb it you can remove the walls. It doesn't disconnect so yeah.
Also btw you need a pipe wrench. Just to like make sure lol.

@karmic viper still cant connect, within a 2x2 tile set and 7/8 walls. Does it need to have walls on all sides ... and potentially even flooring?

You can climb through them so it doesn't really matter

Try right clicking a few more times cause sometimes you can miss the sink. Or try disassembling and reassembling a wall to update it.

Before I built the wall segment there, as I could not place any more floating floor tiles at the first floor ... I placed a wooden pillar trying to use it as "foundation"
that didnt work but I didnt remove it
