get rid of restless sleeper, take wakeful, take thin skinned
outdoorsman basically removes the worst part of things skinned
free points
thin skinned is abit sus
thin skinned i think is really best once you get comfortable in your ability to not get grabbed by zombies
otherwise it'll fuck up your early runs
a good GENERAL build i go for, at least as of negs, is:
i need long term
slow reader, short sighted (2 free points since it only affects foraging and not your actual sight, and can be countered by just wearing glasses), weak stomach because as long as you don't eat what youu're literally not supposed to it's free points, , and slow healer
Most of the negative traits aren't that bad, like smoker, alcoholic, conspicuos, hard of hearing, short sighted etc. They are all pretty much just free points.
since water is pretty abundant, high thirstt is an okay pick
justt always keep a filled water bottle or two on you and fill itt as you go
high thirst is free points
evenn when the power goes out you can just use water left in the sinks while you gather other water to boil
honestly
hmmm
as much as people say it sucks ass, lucky is good for long-term survival
it's not a 10% flat increase to loot chances, it's a 10% increase to the chance something has to drop
so something with a 10% chance because a 10.1% chance, but it still can rack up nicely
Lots of people say it sucks and I never bothered arguing. It's a great bonus tbh.
my build is entirely focused on leveling up fast
my first time looting a survivor house with lucky i literally found like 30 weapons
I guess most people just don't loot as much as I do.
you could just increase your xp multiiplier in sandbox unless you're doing apoc or survival
but take fast learner then
personally, i always played with it at 3 but man, i just don't want to spend a literal in-game month+ getting my carpentry or foraging, weapon skills etcetera up to level 7
its my first time trying ong trem
alr so what's your new build
thus i dont get much time and freedom to do whatever i want
nothing much.
just removed restless sleeper and organised
Organized is a great trait tbh.
^
i know
i only stopped using it to make way for something else i wanted to try
ill do some quirks
Among the best even.
if i'm not mistaken you can fit 3 entire 4 log stacks in a large backpack with organized and have some extra space

pacifist is a pretty bad trait honestly, and personally unlucky is a bitt of a wacky pick
i personally couldn't deal with basically finding less stuff
uhhhh
unlucky and pacifist are fine wtf
I never dared trying Pacifist. I'm a fan of firearms. Good luck!
i removed cowardly
these are all opinions tbf
unlucky does hardly anything and pacifist gets canceled out by fast learner
i like guns too but this is a game
it's been proven, you still get less xp
slightly less
75 percent of the normal
like 96%
they don't add up exactly
True, but I like them in the game as well. What does it actually do in terms of stats? You can still use guns, but it takes time to learn skills? Or is it like Burn Victim where you can't use fire?
pz calculates percentages like a drunk college professor so its a bit under 100
first one
not by much
pz calculator be wildin
This time I'm covering a negative trait I never really thought about much. With the help of a mod I realized it makes a difference with a skill I really care about, and here we are with the results of my testing for pacifist as well as my new opinion on it.
https://www.twitch.tv/retanaru
Project Zomboid Build 41.68
...
pacifist on its own is a to the s s
it only indicates leveling up
So it just affects XP? I'm adding pacifist to my next build.
but you're still missing out on getting your levels higher faster so you can proc crits more, get more range, swing faster, etcetera
cant i cancel unlucky with foraging levels?
How much do you forage?
one in three business months
I've literally never had to rely on that tbh.
I've done fishing. And plenty of looting. Even some farming. But never foraging.
foraging is good for spears
sometimes I do foraging for chipped stones
So are axes and cutting trees 😄
foraging worksonly if u decide to fuck off to the forest
I never leveled that skill high enough though. Spears are good for like 5-6 hits which wont even kill one zed, then I have to equip a new one. A PITA I just abandoned immediately.
not really
can find alot of stones on the road
All negative moodlets in the top right corner do. Not sure how much that particular one does though.
panic does
agoraphobia makes you panicked outside
most fights are outside
which one should i pick then
if you're worried about being panicked around your base with claustrophobia, apparently large enough buildings actually cancel it out
ok
so i started my run
lots of zombie evading
long story short, i risked a bite but luck saved me
i found car w key
but i have a question
Win!
It will stall a lot and struggle to start, but it will run.
i also found aebs a looted a bakery
ok thanks
