Oh lord, the eternal search for sledgehammers. Some times they are impossible to find. Other times you'll find 3 of them in garage of the house you spawn in.
The lack of gun stores/general weapon storages on the vanilla map is what led me to add at least 50 addon cities to my save. There'll always be a reason to go out and do some more zed killing with an arsenal fit to take out most cities.

Risky strategy, but I assume you were ready to put it out before it burned down the whole place and everything in it.
That's one of my disadvanteges of always having "Burn victim" as one of my initial traits (Mod from "More traits"). I can't use fire. Haven't actually tested with molotovs, I just assume I can't light them with my fear of fire.
