is this unique to athletic, or just due to higher fitness?

i've never had a character do this before until now, so i assume it's from one of the two. dunno if it's exclusive to athletic or just due to my high fitness

That's normal

When you jog or sprint to a fence, your character will do that

Certain traits and skill levels will also dictate the chances of your character tripping and injuring themselves from doing that

yeah i just didn't realize it was the sprint animation

does the vault for jog ever change or does it stay the same with the same risks of cutting yourself

I thought when you jog the animation has your character putting one hand on the fence to help them jump over it, but seems like your character here is holding their weapon with two hands so thus have no hands free to touch the fence

I don’t sprint often, only jog. So not sure if there is a difference between sprinting and jogging

IRL I absolutely would faceplant if I attempted to jump over a fence like your character did in the video 😅
