Cant barricade anything.

I have planks, nails, and a hammer in my main inventory and it wont let me barricade. The game let me barricade 2 planks on a window before it stopped working. I did have mods but they weren't enabled. I've completely uninstalled the mods and reinstalled the game but it still wont let me barricade anything. Please help.

Did you have enough Nails in your inventory? If I remember correctly you need at least 2

And they cannot be "Nail Boxes" they have to be unboxed nails
