I'm playing near Riverside and I completely cleared the small trailer park town near Riverside a month or two ago ingame. I decided to venture back into that small town thinking it was clear, to my surprise it wasn't. The road to the town (next to the farm) was infested with zombies, and dozens more poured out from the surrounding forest/grasslands when I fired my shotgun. After killing more than a hundred zombies or so I went into town and it was somewhat repopulated. Not nearly as many zombies as I found on the road but still a substantial amount.
Now for my question: Are zombies naturally attracted to towns and roads? I have respawns off so I'm wondering where all these zombies came from. I checked sandbox settings multiple times and respawns are indeed off, so I'm very confused. Is my game broken or is this just how natural zombie migration works?
